100 Faces of War Experience
The first 50 Portraits
Portraits and words of Americans who served in Iraq & Afghanistan by Matt Mitchell. An open contemplation of the American experience of war. This epic project mixes traditional portrait painting with ideas of installation art, a sociological approach, and participant generated content.
A mixed media exhibit by Mary Bernstein
52 panels originally created in the weeks following the 9/11 attacks; created from the week’s news headlines & news photos, with a painting created in that week juxtaposed on the opposite side.
Continuum: A Tragedy in Many Acts
An installation by Harriet Diamond
Chronicling and protesting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, sculptured elements are installed along the walls in one of the larger exhibition spaces while free-standing sculpture occupies the overall space.
